A superb route in a wild setting away from the crowds. This outing offers a bit of everything including a complex glacial approach, excellent rock and a memorable bivouac. The view at the summit, of the east side of the Grandes Jorasses and the Linceul north face is breathtaking.

Itinerary
Day 1
Meet in Chamonix before driving through the Mont Blanc tunnel. Once in Italy we will drive up the Val Ferret and start walking from the Febrouze bridge, 1650 m. It will take us about 3-4 hours to reach the new Gervasutti bivouac, 2833 m, This futuristic bivouac resembles a space shuttle and is modern and comfortable.

Day 2
Early departure to arrive at the start of the route. The Febrouze glacier is complex to cross especially at night, but once on the compact rock of the southern ridge the climbing is just incredible. We will reach the summit of the ridge by climbing 400m of pure granite. A short snow ridge leads to the summit of the Petites Jorasses, 3646 m. The descent by the normal route is long but not particularly difficult. the total time of this day should be between 9 to 12 hours of effort.
